Stats ain't everything.
Dwight is a better on-ball and off-ball defender. Dwight keeps people out of the lane. Dwight scores so much more than the other centers he's playing. Plus rebounding is considered a defensive stat and Dwight dominates that.
So really... it wasn't that hard of a decision. The committee picked well.
